Despite this good news, it's a little discouraging to only see two Brewers in the game. Yovani Gallardo could make a case for being in the game (8-5, 2.75 ERA), but I think the real snub was Trevor Hoffman (18 saves, 1.93). In both of these guys cases, they likely missed the cut because of the All-Star game rule that there has to be a representative from each team, which is why you have a guy like Francisco Cordero over Hoffman. I think Hoffman is more deserving, but those are the rules. And that is a rule I like, so I guess that voids any right I have to complain.
Either way, it will be fun to watch Braun and Fielder represent Milwaukee in St. Louis next Tuesday night, and hopefully the NL can win this year so that the Brewers have home field advantage in the World Series!

Gallardo, would easily be the bigger snub. Top 6 in K's, wins, and ERA. But because he is slated to start on sunday his availability would be in question on tuesday. If not, he should have gotten on over Marquis.
Several players have more saves than Hoff, and better era's. CoCo even has more saves, more k's and a better ERA. Hoff has him in BAA, Whip, and walks, but its' a lot closer than you think.
To me, for relievers Bell, K-Rod, and Broxton are locks. THen Wilson and Coco. Then I have Hoffman on that next tier.
Personally I think middle relievers Dan Meyer or Arthur Rhodes should have got some consideration for their 7th inning/set up roles.
Gallardo has actually out performed Santana as well. Cueto was actually snubbed pretty bad as well if you look at the stats. Marquis and Santana should not be on this team.
Wins are a team stat, and should not be used to measure a Pitchers peformance, maybe to some degree, but definitely not at All-star break when he has only 1 more win then the next group.
