Croshere Waived

Sooner or later, you knew the Bucks were going to waive the extra body that is Austin Croshere. Croshere was actually hoping to squeak by unnoticed on the roster all season ala Jake Voskuhl, but that was a lost cause under new GM John Hammond. Thus, Croshere has been let go, and the Bucks now have an open roster spot.

This shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone, as this is the team of year when teams can begin to offer 10 day contracts to players. As the last man on the roster, Croshere was always in jeopardy of getting cut to give an NBDL-er a chance.

But, this could actually mean more than just a January call-up. Many are pointing to the open roster spot and suggesting that the Bucks may have a 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 type of trade deal up their sleeve. Many people seem to think the Thunder and Bucks could again be trading partners in a type of deal that may involve the likes of Charlie Villanueva, Chris Wilcox, and/or Nick Collison.

Croshere played in 11 games for the Bucks, averaging 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds.

Good post man. As I was reading I was hoping you'd mention the OKC trade rumor & you did.

I've also been told that the Bucks wanted to cut Croshere before his contract became guaranteed this Saturday. Wise move.
