Even though we've only used our new "Bucky Five" feature for Packers previews and reviews so far, I wasn't lying when I said I was going to use it for the most random of things. Today, that's exactly what were doing, as I wanted to pass along five videos that I've been watching today.
The first comes from Deadspin, a new Jay Cutler / McDonald's commerical airing in Denver. Make your diabetes jokes now, if you must.
This next video is the major topic of buzz on the internet today, even though it was probably the worst episode of Saturday Night Live, ever. But the cold open sketch was funny, thanks to a spot-on Sarah Palin impression courtesy of Tina Fey.
Our third video is a simple video. SportsBubbler's Daily Drink has provided us with the opportunity to relive one of the worst calls you'll see this college football season.
The next video is a little more random, but I got a chuckle out of it. First, I've been listening to the new Coldplay CD (or iTunes release? whatever) a lot lately, especially the song "Strawberry Swing." Second, I've recently moved back to my hometown and thought "Wouldn't it be cool to write a neat coming of age story about myself, ala Garden State." Well, this video spoofs that idea from all angles.
I especially liked the line at 3:15 - "It felt like the world was calling to me. Now, all I get is a dial tone".
And now, the payoff video. On the eve of the Brewers/Cubs series, I found this little Cubs rap on YouTube. It's pretty outrageous, and definitely NSFW. I probably wouldn't watch this one without headphones. Being 8 games back sort of takes the edge out of it, but it's funny nonetheless.
Thanks for watching!
