Of course, nobody really cares about cornerback Condrew Allen at this point, but rather that his placing on the IR was the move the Packers made to put Favre back on the roster (but still not on the Packers.com depth chart). I can't believe the man is actually back on the roster, especially when I look back at the above picture and think about that day. That was a man who didn't have anything left. We saw that in the NFC Championship Game. But, with his reinstatement, apparently he's ready to give it another go.
The options are endless, but the rumor he'll be traded to Minnesota is still floating out there. I've been saying that I don't think he'll play a down in the NFL this season, but I'm beginning to realize he will be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers on Week One, barring some amazing performances by Aaron Rodgers. As for the Vikings, the NFL has cleared the Vikings of tampering.
More on the situation after McCarthy's press conference tonight. In the meantime, why not get to know Condrew Allen?
UPDATE: The Mike McCarthy press conference was cancelled as Mike and Favre were still talking. We'll find out more tomorrow, as the suspense of whether or not Favre will take the field grows.
