Man do I love Spring Training games. The scores are high, the bench options are limitless, and the box scores are incredible! The Brewers picked up their fourth win of the spring season with a 12-6 win over the Texas Rangers.
The Brewers scored three in the 3rd, six in the 4th, and tacked on three more in the seventh. Craig Counsell was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, Bill Hall was 2 for 4 with an RBI, Eric Munson was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Gabe Kapler had 2 RBI's as well. Pretty nice performance offensively.
If the Brewers have struggled in Spring Training, it's been with their starting pitchers. Manny Parra started today and had a great game, giving up just two hits and no runs in three innings. However, Dave Bush, a candidate for a starting gig, gave up six hits, and five runs, although only three of them were earned.
Box Score.
