It sure is good to have election-night style coverage again. I'm not sure why I've always been so drawn to the Presidential Elections. Maybe because it's as simple as I like watching the states turn either red or blue. Maybe it's because I'm a passionate American. Maybe it's because it's politics version of the Super Bowl, and it has a sports like feel to it. I've always liked the NFL Draft even though I know little about how good the players are, maybe this is the same sort of thing.
Anyways, the numbers are about to come in for New Hampshire, and the pundits (I'm watching MSNBC, not sure why) are predicting wins for McCain and Obama. One analyst said someone along the lines of how "this Obama thing turned out to be bigger than ever expected", and other said "how he has taken down the Clintons". Last week I thought this night was to be Hillary's, but now it seems like no one can get out of the way of the Obama train.
For Republicans, it seems like McCain is going to win this one, as he's done in the past, but won't do much else. Romney needs a top two finish, maybe even a win to keep his dream alive. South Carolina is being predicted as a Huckabee, and Guiliani could take Florida. This Republican race is going to go a while, while the Democratic one could be settled tonight (it won't, but I was being dramatic).
